The Calile is honoured to present its inaugural philanthropic partnership to raise funding and awareness for Safe Haven Community. Safe Haven Community provide early intervention and housing, for women and children in need of a safe place to temporarily reside when their homes become unsafe or untenable due to coercive abuse and control.
In recognition of the vital work Safe Haven Community delivers, our community united to contribute an impressive prize pool of auction items and experiences. The online auction culminated in a Charity Luncheon held in the Grand Room of The Calile Hotel on Friday May 7 2021. Julia Zemiro hosted the day, and facilitated a conversation between The Hon Shannon Fentiman MP, Senator Larissa Waters and ABC Journalist Nour Haydar. Thanks to our sponsors, guests, and our broad community, a total of $169,000 was raised in direct support of Safe Haven Community.
Our Gold prizes included an impressive selection of items and experiences, with prize value starting at $3,000.
Our Brass Prizes included a generous collection of our community’s finest experiences and treasures for every taste, style and predilection. Prize value starting at $1,000.
